Alina Collins Maldonado
Alina is a bilingual (Spanish and English) theater educator dedicated to empowering artists to create and produce their work. She has designed impactful programs and workshops with a special focus on supporting students from ESOL classes and diverse cultural backgrounds.
As the former Director of GALA Hispanic Theatre’s Paso Nuevo Youth Program, Alina fostered opportunities for young people to develop their unique artistic voices. The Paso Nuevo program under her direction was invited to The White House twice by First Lady Michelle Obama for notable arts programming for youth of Washington, DC.
She collaborates with esteemed organizations, including Imagination Stage, KIND Inc. (Kids In Need of Defense), the Latin American Youth Center, Young Playwrights Theater, Shakespeare Theatre Company, inspiring creativity and championing artistic growth across communities.
She offers group and individual workshops and classes in devising and acting.
